Core Life Insurance System Senior Officer (Cobol)

1.  Job purpose 

• Support the team leader and work with the team on developing and implementing IT software solution, in contribution to fulfill business objectives.

2.  Accountabilities

• Analyze the business specification, then prepare technical specification, and develop the new systems or enhance existing system for supporting business needs.
• Support the team leader on technical analysis to provide the best technical solution as well as support colleagues for solving technical issues to complete the assigned projects / tasks in a timely manner.
• Investigate and answer daily enquiries on systems functional as well as problem encountered in order to resolve it in timely manner.
• In charge of unit test on enhancements / new development under responsibility to ensure developed modules are matched with business requirements.
• Assist users/team leader on building test scripts to cover all test cases.

3.  Requirements

Education

• University degree major in Information Technology.
• Knowledge of system and database design

Experiences  

• At least 3 years of experience as IT technical analysis and programming

Technical skills

• Good at COBOL programming.
• Good at DB2 SQL programming.
• Crystal Report Knowledge (preferable) 
• Unix System knowledge (preferable) 
• Project management skills
• Advanced analytical skills
• Innovative & creative thinking

Soft skills

• Communication skills
• Time management skills
• Basic English reading & writing skills
