The “Foundation for Success” Life Insurance Plan has been designed to provide you with a savings vehicle which will ensure your children a good education and a smooth career start-up after graduation. In addition, this plan also protects your beloved child against unpredictable risks in life.
1. Comprehensive Education Funds
The most important stages during your child’s education is when he/she joins junior high school, senior high school and university, during which their study will be at your own expenses. Please relax! A remarkable amount will be payable to ensure that sufficient funds are available for your child peruse his study.
10% of sum assured when your child enters high-school (15 years old)
20% of sum assured when your child enters university (18 years old)
15% of sum assured will be payable every year during the next 3 years in university (19, 20 and 21 years old)
You may choose to withdraw the above-mentioned periodic cash coupons when they come due or leave them with the Company to earn interests and withdraw when you wish to.
2. Career start-up fund
The 25% of the sum assured payable on the policy anniversary after your child attains age 22 will serve as a meaningful gift to motivate your child during his steps to an independent life.
3. Reserved funds for ad-hoc expenses
After the policy has been in force for 2 years and premiums paid for 2 years, the Cash Surrender Value is available and dividends are payable annually at rate determined by the Company depending on its operating profits. By this time, you can choose to withdraw the annual dividends to cover ad-hoc expenses or accumulate in the Company to earn interests at rate determined by the Company from time to time.
4. Premium term only to age 18, protection covers until age 25
Your child will be protected against such risks as pre-mature deaths or terminal illnesses from the policy effective date to his age of 25. In addition,
5. Free Enhanced Accidental Death and Disability benefit from age 18 to age 25
The Free Enhanced Accidental Death and Disability benefit will be provided free of charge from the policy anniversary after your child attains 18 years old to give your child a peace of mind against such risks as: accidental death or disability, accidental hospital income.
6. Guaranteed Future Insurability with double sum insured.
At age 25, regardless of heath condition, your child will have the right to take out a new endowment policy of Dai-ichi Life with a sum insured not exceeding 200% that of the Foundation for Success plan. This will give your child a peace of mind upon his age of marriage.
